There is also a memory card reader built into the printer and it works fine.At one point there were Dell SM bus drivers available as an optional update. I cannot seem to be able to remove all the portable/removable drives from device manager, I had hoped to be able to do this so that Windwos 7 could redetect them... They have USB in the frames, but no card readers.

In thos cases it would cause wake from sleep issues (even on built-in USB 1.1 ports) or an inability to get the Mac to sleep. Has anyone experienced this before? I would trace the wires from the internal card reader to the mobo and unplug then try the external lexar and report back. Maybe even link back to this thread, though I am not sure that this would be necessary, as the OP really didn't solve said problem.
