Disconnect the 7 wire harness connector and inspect. The problem just started again (after the warranty ran out) after not having any signs for 2 years. The terminal where it contacts the fuse box terminal was only very slightly heated. Cut the wires back far enough from the connector to eliminate any melted insulation on the wire.
