The guy I bought it from put on a after market brake pedal, one of those aluminum ricer pedals. It could be a faulty switch if the clearance is correct. Be on the safe side and make it 55. I used this method on 2 accords and it worked to re-enable the cruise control. I check every sensor, twice, they were all good. I was on the highway yesterday and figured it was a good time to test out the cruise control. You can then use the controls on the steering wheel to accelerate or decelerate. This is my first visit to your blog! i pulled it out to see if it was connected or if it had loose wires but everything looks fine. If there is no change when you press the switch, the switch is dead and needs to be replaced.

I tested both the switches and they were good, everyone posting about the main switch not lighting up should know more than likely the bulbs are blown in the switch. Had the "main relay" replaced and that didn't fix it.
