its all coming out and the whole darn car is getting rewired new speakers at all 4 corners and 4 8" subs......damn monsoon..... wire on the Kenwood and plugged it in, connected Power, Ground, and Ingition wires, and nothing else. Im assuming you have the amplified monsoon system. However, even when working the volume and quality is not comparable to the fronts. Check This Out

It had a Pioneer in it and I took it out and took out the xm receiver they had in it and installed my Alpine and it all works great now. That was the major problem for me, my front speaker went in the Passat and I wound up swapping all of the speakers in the car, to include the tweeters but I received for Christmas a new in-dash. Also, if someone knew why there are two power wires of the same color on the stock harness, that'd be nice too. This should be easy to check, especially with the information provided in that thread. I got home, double checked my wiring, and everything was correct. Are only the two rear door speakers run off the amp and everything else is direct?? i pulled my doors apart and they only turned on when i pushed on the cone... I picked up an 03 Passat GLS 1.8t this weekend, I love it but have a couple of gliches....the most annoying being the rear speakers not working. You have to send the remote wire to them to power up the amp then the rcas will send the signal to them. However, it would stand to reason that all speakers connected to the amp would trigger at the same time, but I've been wrong once before.
