You are saying the relays located on the shroud I replaced are not the actual relays that control the fan? The A/C adds an extra load on the engine and there's a sensor that adjusts the idle for the additional load. I take it to the mechanic and was told the problem "was nothing major" and this will be an easy fix. If not, replace the relay.
I would not waste another dime on these cars. Turned out that there was a leak in the O-ring. It cant be dumb luck.. If the A/C pressure is climbing to 450 pounds while sitting still it's most likely going to be either the high speed fan relay (most likely) or a bad cooling fan.(least
